Abstract

An education in law falls under the top 10 professional courses in India as of 2020.[1] It is amply clear that the legal profession is one of the most popular career choices in a country like India, where a heavy reliance is on degrees like engineering and MBA. This provides us with an idea of the number of people choosing a career in the legal realm and the requirement for a robust legal education system. However, as ambitious as our desires are of being a formidable and well-recognised industry, our level of education fails us in the attempts of achieving the high benchmark we have set for ourselves. The level of competency of the lawyers present in the workforce today is an indication of the dire need of having a system in place to keep for ensuring quality legal practitioners in India.
