Abstract
Learning a foreign language will be more difficult to understand than your language. Therefore education innovates and creates by offering concepts of boarding school or boarding school. The language program is a flagship program in boarding schools one of them is Arabic. Excellent achievement from students is a commitment that must be built by the school. Therefore, with the holding of Arabic language teaching in boarding schools and classes it is hoped that it can help in increasing the participants' Arabic learning achievement. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and supporting and inhibiting factors of the boarding school system to improve maharatul kalam. The approach used in this study uses field research with a qualitative descriptive style combined with observational data, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out utilizing data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of the study show that the learning of the boarding school system is very large in improving students' Arabic language skills with regular and well-organized implementation such as afternoon and evening tutoring activities, Arabic language habituation, giving mufradat memorization at dawn, imposing sanctions in the form of memorization vocabulary, and there is a language section that works to monitor the participants' discipline in speaking Arabic. The research concludes that speaking ability (maharotul kalam) is higher in students with boarding school system learning (Boarding School) compared to other formal schools. The recommendations that the author gives to institutions are to continue to maintain the good regulatory system that has been realized and to look for better things or techniques so that the quality of the institution Islamic Boarding School Al-Basyariyah is even better. The implication of this research is speaking ability (maharotul kalam) higher students with boarding school system learning (Boarding School) compared to other formal schools. This shows an explanation and affirmation that the learning of the boarding school system is one of the factors that are of concern in improving maharotul kalamin Arabic subjects. This happened because the learning of the boarding school system(Boarding School) was able to liven up the atmosphere and make the students participate actively in teaching and learning activities, able to encourage students' thinking power for each problem that is presented.
