Acta Geophysica

Aims and Scope

Acta Geophysica, formerly Acta Geophysica Polonica, is an international journal dealing with all fields of general and applied geophysics and related sciences, namely:

  • solid Earth and atmospheric sciences, hydrology, space sciences and applied geophysics;
  • topics where geology, geodesy and environmental studies interfere with geophysics
  • special sections on: space weather; triggered and induced seismicity

More details can be found at the Institute of Geophysics homepage: http://agp.igf.edu.pl/index.php

Why subscribe and read

  • premier source of high quality research in general and applied geophysics
  • special issues devoted to current, hot problems

Why submit

  • fast, fair and constructive peer review; fast publication, both online and in printed form
  • language-correction services for authors from non-English speaking regions

Editorial Manager

Manuscripts should be submitted to Acta Geophysica via the online submission system Editorial Manager available for this journal at http://www.editorialmanager.com/ag. Authors should register themselves first as new users and then upload their manuscripts. In case of any technical problems, please contact the Managing Editor of Acta Geophysica: Mr. Zbigniew Wiśniewski agp@igf.edu.pl.

Copyright Transfer Agreement

Submission of a manuscript indicates a tacit understanding that the paper is not actively under consideration for publication with other journals. Copyright of Transfer Agreement should be sent with Manuscript via Editorial Manager.

Our standards

  • our reviewers are kindly requested to deliver reports in 3-4 weeks
  • communications are published in 6 weeks from receipt, research and review papers in 8-9 weeks (on Springer Online First) unless they have needed major revision by authors
  • all papers are reviewed by at least two reviewers
  • we pay special attention to receive unbiased, fair opinions; special policies govern allocation of reviewers to articles
  • whenever submission qualifies for publication but needs revision, reviewers are asked to give comprehensive opinion on necessary improvements

Tools

We encourage our reviewers to use our online submission system Editool. You may have a look at its brief description or log in at this site.
