Own Journals
Versita began as a publisher with three own journals in January 2003. Our own journals still make the core of Versita portfolio, though it is quickly expanding with titles published on behalf of research institutes, universities and societies from Central and Eastern Europe. The journals launched in 2003 were in physical sciences, two new titles added in 2006 cover life sciences, and we are working on further expansion of this portfolio.
For librarians
- we position our own journals as the premier source of high quality research from Central and Eastern Europe, so librarians and faculty can get access to science from an important region whose work is often overlooked
- our journals have broad scopes, so they secure pretty complete coverage for each broad science
- outstanding scientists, including Nobel Prize laureates, have supported our publishing initiative, and serve as editors and advisors

- every author receives fast, fair and comprehensive peer-review and publishing service
- authors from non-English speaking regions, if necessary, receive extra assistance: we improve English language, structure and technical format of their submissions
- the journal is distributed and marketed by Springer, and has been made available for a few thousand libraries accessing SpringerLink
- we promote each published paper to hundreds of researchers working in the same field
